Summer is a very special season to me. When I think about it, I think about a well deserved break from life's more boring moments. It's a time for beaches, vacations, seeing family and friends again. I've made many fond memories during the summer - all in all, it's a really lovely (and fun) time of year. Oh, and it's really hot too. I'm not so fond of that last bit.

I decided to try and condense all of the above into a single track, which begins with some plucks echoing above warm, chill pads. Here I ditched the customary four-on-the-floor beat for a more irregular pattern. As the track unfolds, synths weave in and out of existence, shimmering above layered pads.

The track reaches its peak, demarcated by an intensified, crunchier beat, while the lead synths energetically pierce through. It then gently fades away as the sounds of waves rolling in and palm trees swaying in the wind take over, the echoing synths lingering in the warm summer air. No matter where you are or what time of year it is, you can jump into your own little vacation - your Burning Summer - anytime.
